First post? It couldn't possibly be true...

that someone hasn't seen this little beauty of a movie and didn't feel compelled to comment.

"Paradise For Three" is a wonderful little movie. It has great actors, a genial and funny script, wonderful production values and deserves more attention. In spite of my joy in '30s comedies, I'd never even heard of this movie until it popped up on TCM today.

Instead of having the frenetic energy of others of this era, the action here is a bit more subdued and a bit more sophisticated. It's not the non-stop machine-gun talking, but of a more natural and believable kind.

The cast is impeccable with Robert Young, Florence Rice, Dame Edna May Oliver, Reginald Owen, Henry Hull and the most delicious Frank Morgan. He's absolutely adorable in this role. Also prominent is Mary Astor. Lord, but she was gloriously beautiful in this.

Give this one a try and see if it doesn't become one of your instant favorites, as it has become mine.

funny stuff. not sure which is funnier, the soap commercial song or the yodeling scene. and what a cast. but then, ANYTHING that has F Morgan in it is going to be FUN.

Have not seen this but our big fans of the movie, "Married Before Breakfast" which star Young and Rice. Loved that movie and does anyone know on where to get a copy of this movie? Would really like to see it.

Thanks

A charming movie. With a great cast of characters telling a Hollywood story that has been played many times before and since. Fully recommended!
