riefenstahl?

There's a well known picture from Olympia which shows a (pretty stunning) naked woman doing some physical activity. While this may not be that important, I was rather amazed to find that it's apparently Leni Riefenstahl herself :o in which case it's probably the most interesting cameo by a director you're probably ever going to see. It is her isn't it? (the imdb cast list certainly seems to indicate so)

She used to be a professional ballet dancer before she had an injury or something and had to quit!

She was a real stunner back in those days. She lived into her 90's and looked really good for her age right up til the end. She looked like many people do in their 70's.

Oh, she also started out as a dancer, but injured herself and had to change vocations.

Just for the record, she in fact lived into her 100's, dying on September 8th, 2003 at the age of 101 years and 17 days.

Having seen the 1993 documentary The Wonderful, Horrible Life of Leni Riefenstahl, I can concur that, setting questions of her personal morality and honesty aside, she retained amazing vitality, charisma, and even attractiveness up to a very advanced age.

I read somewhere that she could have competed as a cross country skier. So Ms. Riefenstahl definitely had the credibility to film other athletes and represent their point of view.

No two persons ever watch the same movie.

And her lover for the last few decades of her life was 40 years her junior.
