Wonderful film

I saw this movie years ago, and have been hoping for a dvd release.

Although Walter Huston is top billed, Jimmy Stewart and young Gene Reynolds also give remarkable performances in this film.... as the adult and child Jason Wilkins.

The determination of this child to follow his life's dream is one to admire. As an adult, what a marvelous impact he would make upon the world.

If you've never seen this film, please make an effort to do so. The reward for such is great.

This IS a wonderful film, but to me the real impact is to contrast unselfish support with blinding ambition. It really is a thin line between exploiting others help and reaching for a nobel goal. The difference is acting like an ingrate or recognizing those who got you there.
