Saw it for the first time today. It takes alot to make me cry in this jaded world. But I was surprised to find myself doing just that. Just an old-fashioned, wonderful, feel-good message movie and the make up job they did for Abe Lincoln was astonishing!
shareI agree with you, hildy-1. I saw this movie for the first time this afternoon on TCM and it really got to me. Tears were streaming down my face when Jason is reunited with his mother at the end. It was a very sweet, touching movie and I wish movies today could have the feelings that this one did. James Stewart was wonderful as always. Just a really nice movie, and I hope to see it again.
