Hello sweetheart
didn't you love the way Bill always called his mother sweetheart? I wonder how that got started as the movie doesn't mention it.
A wonderful child actor and such an enjoyable movie.
Why can't they make movies like this anymore?

I fell in love with Moore every time stood up for his mom. He was her up and coming ultimate protector who took crap off nobody. Others turned their back on her, he did not, priceless.
I wish they did make movies like this today, I guess they don't because the premise seems too simplistic for todays twist and turn films.
P.S. Why isn't this on DVD?
I just saw this on TCM this afternoon. Moore was terrific. Interstingly, he was twelve years old when the movie was made (unless IMDB has his birthday incorrect), but seemed about eight or nine.
shareI recorded it this morning and I'm watching it right now. Dickie Moore is one of my favorite child actors from that period. He was born in 1925, which would make him 13 when this film was made.
shareHe was probably eleven. Kids at that age seem so little. I don't think They start looking mature until 14.
