They Should Have

made the flick about the real intrigue behind this flick instead of the silly B fight story.

Nothing is more beautiful than nothing.

This had to be quickly re-written from a Charlie Chan movie to a Mr. Moto movie due to the death of Warner Oland (who played Charlie Chan). We're lucky to have it at all. It was a little flat, but Keye Luke (who played Charlie Chan's #1 son) and the ex-boxer/klepto were great fun to watch, and Lynn Bari was great eye candy.

It is so obvious too, like when Moto is explaining his theory on how the boxer was poisoned scientifically which was always a trademark of Oland in Chan. Still Lorre is always fun to watch, unless you're Chinese I guess.

Mr. Moto was Japanese (Mr. Chan was Chinese), hence his sudden disappearance at the beginning of WWII.

Was he? To me he acted more like a Chinese from that period.
Well his English wasn't broken, that's a gd thing.
I'm glad this station is bringing back the MOTO series. I recall seeing a few back when I was a small kid.
This one was very funny in places.
Nice to see both Perry White actors in the same film Pierre Watkin from the 2 SUPERMAN serials & of course John Hamiton from the 1950's TV show.
2 more actors in early roles Lon Chaney & Ward Bond as the other boxer Moran.
George E Stone is always great to watch.

I was thinking this isn't like a Moto mystery and kept wondering what Lee Chan was doing in it. Keye Luke gives his funniest performance as Lee Chan in this.
