Merrily We Live......Please bring to DVD

I adore this film.
The writing is incredible and is comparable to "It Happend One Night".
Waiting for the DVD release date so that I may enjoy this film over and over again.

My dad wants this one on DVD, and I looked for it on Amazon. I could not find a copy of it on VHS either.

I agree with ya on the Ebay- too many bootlegs for my liking.

I hope it is released soon. I caught the last half on TCM yesterday evening, and was completely won over.

You saw it on TCM?? I've been looking for this movie for YEARS and cannot find it. I've searched the TCM website, and it's not there.

reply

Yes. I wish they would show it again, because I would really like to see the beginning. I think they were showing Constance Bennett films that evening, because I remember that Madame X came on afterwards.

TCM is showing it on July 7, 2007 (1am EST/12midnight CST/11pm MST/10pm PST) and again on July 23, 2007 (9:15am EST/8:15am CST/7:15am MST/6:15am PST).

Amen to that, let us all know if you hear it is on DVD please!!I would wear out a copy of this as I have my Lost Horizons movie!

I saw it on TCM today and enjoyed it, but saying it is comparable to "It Happened One Night" is overreaching a bit. It's also not in the same league with "My Man Godfrey" which it has some similarities to. It is however more enjoyable than the excessively acclaimed "Bringing Up Baby" where K.Hepburn plays a much more annoying dingbat than Bille Burke does in this film (my sister actually questioned if the Hepburn character was supposed to be mentally retarded and gave up on the movie when she tried to watch BUB on TCM).

I hope they do release this on dvd. Same goes for other obscurities sometimes seen on TCM like: Remember the Night, Come Live With Me, The Devil and Miss Jones.

If you're watching 'Fullscreen' DVDs, you aren't getting the whole picture.
