Turkey - Spoilers

Exactly how much food especially turkeys, did they need for that party? The trays and platters never stopped coming in. That birthday cake was huge too. It seems most of the guests were already there and seated. Those people couldn't have consumed all that food.

Also, I know it was Betsy's birthday but they were staying at the old lady's house uninvited and spending her money. Did they really not think her household staff would let her know? If they didn't she'd have blamed them once she got back and found out.

This does seem like minor stuff but to me it shows a lack of attention to detail. The movie had too much that didn't ring true and they didn't seem to care. Betsy was able to take the train and find her way back on her own? The judge demands they put on a show in the courtroom, really?

I enjoyed the movie because I like Shirley but I think this is around the time her popularity started to wane. She was as good as ever so I have to believe the studio started taking the audience for granted and were slapping together projects for her. Once again, she's an orphan in this and she's helping a couple fall in love. It's been done.
