I just recently got this on DVD and am so glad it's available. I love it. I saw it first on TCM a couple of years ago, and it was my first introduction to Dunne as a singer. What a magnificent voice!

And, unlike the review that imdb chose for this page, I do not think this is an inferior movie at all; in fact, I think it is very good. It's just not as well known as some of her other stuff.

Dunne is one of the group of underrated, underappreciaged actresses from the early days of film, along with Myrna Loy and Barbara Stanwyck. Under appreciated by their peers, anyway, not by posterity. I am glad to be able to find lesser known stuff by all of them.
