Fonda was terrible

Henry Fonda was absolutely dire in this film, ive seldom seen a more wooden performance. The scenes where he had to get angry or stare down the men in the ballroom was cringeworthy. Absolutely no match for Bette Davis in this. Im sure he got better later on in his career, but at this stage he was awful.
