They should've cast Gary Cooper

He'd have been much better as Preston - stronger, sexier and more virile. Julie's attraction to him would've made more sense. He'd have projected a strong sense of honor, whereas Fonda's soulfullness seems a bit mushy. I'd have loved to have seen the quietly powerful Cooper against the outspoken, bold Davis. What a pairing!
