Best under rated movie ever made

I am a student of film and "If I were King" in my opinion is the best classic movie ever made because the story is timeless, the dialogue is sharp and lyrical, the acting by the principal actors is impeccable, the lighting is superb, the sound is clean and crisp and the editing for the time is extremely well paced. I always thought Basil Rathbone was an exceptional actor but it is extraordinary to see him play the King in the manner he created but it was perfect and he should have won the Oscar. Ronald Colman's voice is one of the best and with the dialogue he is given he almost makes song of it. It's a wonderful and enthralling movie that will certainly entertain from beginning, through the middle to the end.

Excellent commentary. I am inspired to get this film. I don't remember if I have ever seen it, but now I want to. If it were made today the title would probably be Ïf I Was King.
