So, the millionaire’s daughters are happier than the rest of us, huh?


I mean – they do not worry for rent, for food, they don’t need to wash piles of dishes they don’t need to do the spring cleaning. And in addition they can do pretty much everything that can be done with lots of money.

Meanwhile a good deal of them can wind up fat, alcoholic and absolutely miserable for the simple matter of they've got nothing better to do, so what's your point?

And there's the likes of Paris Hilton, already filthy rich, desperately trying to draw attention from people because she loves their money so much! She doesn't love people. Yes, now I think of it, I guess she really must be a lot happier than me!

Yes -- poverty, a crappy public education system, and hopelessness born of belonging to the permanent underclass (with no hope for change) has nothing to do with crime.

they can still have romantic problems though. Look at all the rich people who get divorced. Money helps to make life easier and pleasanter, but it can't solve all your problems.

A famous study from the past few years found that people were happier when they had a comfortable amount of money (annual salary of $70K, which in most part of the US allows not just for necessities and savings but also for some treats) -- but that happiness declined when people had lots of money or had so little that they were constantly worried about survival.
