Seriously this movie is funny. Hope is great as is Martha Raye. They made a great on screen duo. One of the comments in this movie has no idea what he is talking about. This is a GREAT Hope picture. The whole thing is hilarious. I don't know maybe it is a chic flick but this chic thought this movie was the funniest she has ever seen.

The Truth is out there.
For me, the movie was pleasant nonsense, and that's it. Raye was something of a surprise: She's usually brash and obnoxious, but here she's fairly sympathetic, especially when she realizes the dirty trick the man she loves is playing on her.
As for the Bob Hope/Martha Raye romance: The contrived mechanics of the plot demanded they end up together, but they are so ill-suited to each other that the predictable ending was halfway a surprise.

I'm a guy and I really enjoyed this movie too. Bob Hope and Martha Raye were terrific as was the rest of the cast.
