Queen Azura

Wasn't Beatrice Roberts simply stunning as the queen of magic?

She was beautiful, but her small, soft facial features, combined with the dowdy "marcel wave" in her hair, certainly worked against the believability of such an exotic character, who I was expecting would out-vamp Aura from the previous installment. Also, her none too dramatic wardrobe, with its soft, billowy shapes, along with her Ambien-inspired dialogue delivery, made her seem less like the story's arch villianess than a warm and charming goodwill ambassador to Mars. I could certainly have seen her as a senior heroic figure, though, such as a female counterpart to Zarkov.
