Ming's Super Power

We learn in this 2nd Flash serial that Ming is immune to fire and that this is what enabled him to survive the fiery sacred palace he entered while fleeing Flash & allies near the end of the 1st serial. We know that Ming somehow survived his seemingly fatal - though short - stay in the disintegrating room near the end of this serial. Maybe his body was powerful enough to somewhat resist the disintegrating rays (with Flash turning them off in the nick of time) and then, while appearing dead, recover slowly from the damage done.
