They used to show this cartoon before they showed a certain Disney movie. Does anyone remember which one it was? I am thinking either "Pete's Dragon" or "Herbie The Love Bug," but it might be a different movie.

And a few months after its initial release, it was playing on bills at second-run theatres along with a slew of B-feature films released that year. In other words, in 1938, there was no specific film that was tied to the showing of this 1938 short. It does make a difference. If you wanted to know what it was playing with 20-30 years later (on re-released tied to a Disney feature film), that should have been your question. The person you dissed was only trying to answer your question based on what this short played with on its Original-release year.

In the 70's (and maybe earlier?) Disney used to re-release their older shorts to be shown before their new features. For example, I remember seeing "Mickey's Circus" (1936) shown with "Robin Hood" (1973).
