'Portrayed' as mutinous???

If you choose to stop counting at Partition in 1947, The Raj put down four 'major' mutinies, and countless minor ones, primarily due to the indulgent British practice of spoiling their enlisted sepoys and Sikhs by *not* flogging them for the same infractions for which *both* British and (East India) 'Company', i.e. 'white' troops *would* be flogged

There is, of course, the grey area of Singapore, where every single Sikh turned coat against the Brits and unilaterally sided with the Japanese invaders

For those of powerful digestion, feel free to google Sikh (Khalsa) War I, II, Dumdum Arsenal/Meerut Massacre and, for the very hardiest of stomach, Cawnpore Well

Portrayed, forsooth!

"Void Where Prohibited"
Like Ozzy Osbourne did at The Alamo???

Thanks, Enrique, for a reminder of the splendid 'running gag'

Lightens the tale considerable, like

p.s. don't forget the Retreat of the 44th from Gandamack via Piper's Fort; also worth a good google
