Poor Kay

As one reviewer pointed out, the plot is ridiculous.

But I still watched it for what I could learn from it. Kay did what she could with the role.

Sybil Jason as the daughter was terrific, and I'd like to learn more about her. I know she was famous in her own right but I don't know much about her.

It's always a treat for me to watch any movie from the 30s, and I enjoy Kay. I'm sad that she was forced into such a silly plot that other actresses were able to get out of. All it would have taken was some reworking the plot, but I guess no one was up to the task.

In watching her performance, I wondered if I could spot traces in her of her understanding that this was the beginning of the end. She was a real pro.
