The history of its production now available

You can find my story of the making of CHILD BRIDE in the summer, 2010 issue of FILMFAX magazine. Among the myths I correct are the common beliefs that it was produced by Kroger Babb and was financed by the government to encourage the public to take a stand against underage marriages. I interviewed actors Shirley Mills and Bob Bollinger, as well as Shirley's swimming double Bernice Stobaugh Ray. Shirley's personal, previously unpublished snapshots taken on location illustrate the article, plus rare 1937 news photos of the real child bride herself.

Hi Paul
I am currently writing my Phd on exploitation cinema at the University of Southampton (UK) and part of my study is on Child Bride. I have tried to get a copy of FILMFAX to read your article but I am having little luck as the sellers I have found will not post overseas. Is there any way I could access this article as it would be really useful. If you can help I would be very grateful. Contact me via facebook (Del Pike). Many thanks
Del.
