Fr. Connolly Was Irresponsible

Giving back the $10,000 for the recreation center was idiotic and irresponsible, the kids needed that far more than Fr. Connolly needed to keep his piety intact.

If he was worried about the implications of taking 'dirty money', he could have lied. He had no problem lying about how Rocky ended up in the end.

reply

Father Connaly didn't lie, Rocky did die the way the newspaper said. It wasn't clear if it was an act or not.Rocky told him several times "No" about going to the chair begging for mercy.

reply

Jerry didn't outright lie, but he did willingly withhold the truth about his own nefarious actions of coercing Rocky to pretend to be yellow.

Is that less bad than lying? Maybe...but not by much.

reply

Nefarious? Coercing? He asked him and yes, did try to reason with him but calling it coercion is incorrect. Further more, to say it's nefarious to try to keep the kids from following Rocky into a life of criminality is outright ridiculous.

You have a warped sense of right and wrong, my friend.

reply

Probably the biggest slimeball in the whole story.
