Dated, but with a good message


Saw it on TCM for the first time a couple of years ago.

I was a bit startled at the end when they are at the Salvation Army Hospital for new mothers and the narrator says, "Oh, you may have noticed we didn't mention the fathers. No, we didn't. And we won't." Speaks volumes without exploiting anyone.

The scenes in the hospital with all the patients who were disabled were especially heartbreaking.

I guess it shows propaganda for a good cause (not political). And MGM having stars of the Hardy family series was genius. Pure ans simple. Watch it if you can!
