(antoher) Aleksandr Nevskiy and Viva Maria!

in Viva Maria, the religious fanatics seemed artifacts that somehow got away from Aleksandr Nevskiy's men and appeared in 1907's Mexico.

There might be many more connections to Eisenstein films all over the movie industry (90% might lead back to what he did once) but I thought the portrayal in Viva Maria! is a blink towards Aleksandr Nevskiy, with a little KKK in mind.
