Real Arrows

At the time, this film held the distinction of employing the largest number of stuntmen on any one production. Howard Hill is listed here for the Best Stunt Award for 1938 for his skill at archery on The Adventures of Robin Hood, and the stuntmen are listed because they had to line up and be shot by Hill, with real live arrows!

Howard Hill wrote several books on his amazing skill (there are some awesome DVD's as well that you may find on the major shoppong websites). I'm STILL trying to master his "offset" aiming.

What?

That's amazing. I hope those stuntmen got some serious hazard pay!
