movie "The Last of Robin Hood"

I admit I knew nothing of the off-screen Errol Flynn. Then the movie "Last of Robin Hood" came along, with Kevin Kline playing Flynn during his last two years of life, 1957 through 1959 when he died of a heart attack while in Canada to sell his boat. His career was in decline and he needed to raise some cash.

After seeing the movie I also read up on him a bit and it is factual that he had a penchant for the younger, attractive females. When he was 48, in 1957, he started up his last affair with a 15-yr-old school girl. This is featured in the movie. So seeing the "Robin Hood" movie and knowing Maid Marion was played by a 19-ish, maybe 20-ish, actress sheds a new light on the roles.

The movie "The Last of Robin Hood" hasn't received a lot of good reviews but it is effective and is a worthwhile watch for movie fans curious about Flynn. Kevin Kline, even though he was a few years too old, is very effective as Flynn.
