Poster 39 of 47 in images???

I have only seen a fairly small print (19×13"), advertised anywhere. I own one much larger, n was hoping someone could tell me why it's nowhere to be seen (even ebay!), and have an approximate value for it???? Am about to frame it and am concerned that if it's very rare, that I should also have it added to the register of artworks on my insurance policy?? Can anyone enlighten me???

Okay I'll tell you what I can but please don't take it as gospel. Image 39 was issued by the 'Other Company' who operated in the US between 1937 and 1940 info here http://www.learnaboutmovieposters.com/newsite/index/COUNTRIES/US/Articles/othercompany.asp I assume the poster you have is either a US one sheet which would be 27" x 41" or a modern reproduction, which are typically around 24" x 36" and on heavier paper stock (but take expert advice to make sure).

If it is an original 1938 Other Company one sheet then it is indeed a valuable poster (and depending on condition could be an extremely valuable poster). Compared to official studio material they were produced in smaller numbers and in the case of 'The Adventures of Robin Hood' weren't used for re-releases (or as far as I know outside the US) and are consequently quite a bit rarer. No idea of Aus prices (I'm in the UK) but I'd say potentially well into five figures in US dollars. All of which is of course dependent on it being genuine.

I should also add at this point that I'm by no means a movie poster expert, I just have an interest in Robin Hood films generally and this one in particular which spills over in a small way into posters and memorabilia.

What a pity then, as it's the 24x36" version and therefore a modern reproduction and I'm assuming worthless! *BUGGER!*
Thankyou though for the insight into the poster, got a lil excited about it till I measured it up! Lol

Still a nice image though, enjoy it for what it is.

And it might still be worth checking with someone who knows more specifics about Australian film posters, maybe try these guys http://www.vintagemovieposters.com.au/

Am getting it framed for my theatre coz I love it so much. That's why I was wondering in case I needed to log it onto my contents register with insurance.
