DVD versions
This has been put out on DVD editions from VCI, Roan Group, Hal Roach, and Serial Squadron. Has anyone seen these, and which has the best picture? Best sound?
shareI have reviewed all the versions listed above for my upcoming book, "Westerns on DVD", but the disc I recommend is Marengo's 2003 offering for which I paid $5 in a discount store. I'd give the visuals 10 out of 10, and the sound at least 9. It's a little tinny in Chapter One, bur the rest of the movie is fine.
