Was this filmed in Cornwall?


The imdb is not very helpful here, so I was wondering if some expert knows whether "Young and Innocent" has been filmed in Cornwall (especially the beach scenes).

And where is the old mill?

Those big rocks on the left look to be in it in one early shot.

I expect most of the outdoor scenes were done in the same area so some street view investigation might turn up landmarks.

It was filmed at Porthcothan Bay in Cornwall. It's strange how the close up of the gulls flying overhead seems to give a pre-sight into Hitchcock's Birds film 26 years later. And of course Daphne du Maurier based her original Birds short story in Cornwall.
