Expensive doesn't necessarily mean better. Well, it was a good movie but I wasn't very happy with the story itself.
Winkie was behind a lot of the problems including the death of her friend. She was, of course, the hero in the end but she was always doing whatever she wanted and disrupting things on the base. Had she not been played by adorable little Shirley Temple, I wouldn't have liked her or the movie very much.
Then again, children are like that. The blame really needs to go to her mother who was too busy falling for Coppy. She should have been teaching her daughter a few things other than sewing; like you don’t take secret messages to anyone behind bars or really anyone for that matter. She also should sneak away and go visit people on her own even if she’s trying to ‘fix’ something.
This kind of reminds me of a lot of young kids these days that become political at such a young age. They take a stand on things they don’t even fully understand. If I hear about one more kid complaining about Sea World or becoming a vegetarian because ‘all those poor animals’ I’m going to scream! The parents are really behind these issues and don’t teach them anything about where their food comes from so the first time they figure out what meat is they freak out and adopt causes they don’t fully understand. Look kids concentrate on learning the basics then build on that. As in the movie they see quick to believe whatever they're told.
Woman, man! That's the way it should be Tarzan. [Tarzan and his mate]
