Best performance of the cast

What an underrated movie. It has everything - great directing, sharp screenwriting but even more notewothy: spectacular acting. Who of the ensemble do you think gave the best performance?
I watched this movie because of Katharine Hepburn and expected her to be the MVP like she typically is in her films but it was Ginger Rogers who surprised me. I think she deserved an Oscar nom - as did Kate - but the Best Actress lineup that year was one of the best of all time.

I would have to say that Ginger gave my favorite performance. The quick, witty dialog was really amazing. She was a terrific actress.

Ginger Rogers was the standout performer. I also appreciated Eve Arden, Lucille Ball, Ann Miller, and Gail Patrick. Honestly Kathrine Hepburn was just OK in this, nothing special.

Ginger Rogers was great-But,if you consider Ann Miller was only 14 at the time-wow! Ann gave a great performance and went toe to toe with Rogers in their dance routines.
The whole cast was great-making a great movie.

I had to look up Ann Miller's age and wow I'm shocked! If Stage Door was filmed a year before it's release then she would have been 13 during filming... I know back then people seemed way older than they actually were but goddamn 😲
