Anyone ever been to Neuschwanstein in Germany?

Neuschwanstein is the fairy tale castle in the German Alps built by Ludwig II King of Bavaria in the late 19th century. I was there years ago and it is really a wonderful place. The throne rooms have huge chandeliers that look like enormous Byzantine crowns. Other parts of the castle have beautiful murals on the walls and when I was taken into those rooms i instantly thought of Disney's Snow White. The backgrounds and some animation from this film have exactly the same storybook look of these murals. Many sources indicate this castle is the reference for the Fairy Tale Castle at Disneyland. Parts of them are very similar, yes. But I've never heard anyone reference the similarity of the murals of this castle to the background drawings in Snow White. It was a happy discovery.
