The Double Take

In comedies and musicals of the 1930s, the double take was king as a laugh getter. In Shall We Dance, everybody does them.

But, in this movie, the best are done by Eric Blore (you're thinking, "I KNOW that face, but I don't know who he is!") and by probably the best movie double taker ever, Edward Everett Horton.

Stupid!?! I never called you stupid! To call you stupid would be an insult to stupid people!

It's been so long since I've seen this film, but I'll have to look for it next time I do.
