Question about Dr. visit - possible spoilers

I did not understand the innuendo that Dr. Bierd was making about Carol's "condition" after he examined her in Florida. I think he was talking about her being in love with Hartley and couldn't wait to be married but why wouldn't Carol let him finish his sentence? Can anyone please clarify?

reply

To me it seems that the doctor felt she was in love and in dire need of "marital fulfillment", and being near her fiance made the condition worst.

reply

The Dr. thought she was horny and needed to get laid.

reply

Exactly. "Sexual frustration", as the real-life diagnosis might have been made, was not going to get past the Hays code. At least they got away with inferring it. I'm sure most of the viewing audience at the time got it anyway.

reply

If I say I imply it, If I hear it I infer it.
