What happened to Raymond Hatton's scene?

Okay, this is strange. What happened to Raymond Hatton's character of the Pawn Shop owner who is woken up in the middle of the night by Bogart after he breaks out of prison? Bogart gets a gun and bullets from him. I know the scene is in there: I have it on my VHS copy (maybe taped off TCM?). Hey, it's only 15 seconds long but it was there!
