*possible spoilers*

Toward the end of the movie the police state Bogie's character is 25. I laughed out loud at that moment. Bogie was 37 and looked 40ish.

I think even when Bogie was 25 (in 1925) he probably looked 30+. One of those guys who always looked older than his years.

This often happens in movies, combined with the fact that in the 1930s young people looked more mature than they do today.
