. . . . Remember "100 Men and a Girl"? Will you ever forget that feather on Deanna Durbin's hat, as she walked thru rows of theater seats with only the feather in view? Would you believe then that the same company which produced the picture would pay Deanna Durbin $350,000 a year not to work? That was an idea that never would have entered your consciousness. But it happened last year. Her contract is finished at U-I, and I hope Deanna will apply herself and do something to surprise us all. She's got what it takes or she couldn't have captured our hearts as she did. . . .
