WILL THIS EVER BE ON DVD?

I'm surprised there are no box sets of MacDonald/Eddy movies.
I'm also surprised because they're going to be TCM's "star(s) of the month" in March, and usually that coincides with a release of a box set of movies starring the featured stars.

Can't find soundtracks either! I can only find compilations, but no soundtracks for any of their movies.

Plus it's super hard to find their stuff on vinyl or vhs.

Anyone know what's going on?

What's going on is simple! There is scant brain power in Hollywood and far less aesthetic perception. Millions of dollars go into the production of illiterate, mind-eroding, civility destroying money losers while treasures like this languish in vaults. The Ted Turners of the media world are few and far between.

Spot on !
I have tried to get " Maytime " on CD or DVD for ages. I am in the UK.
When I last searched for it I could only find a copy from Brazil if my memory is correct. I did not fancy giving my credit card details to them as I had never heard of them but if they have it why can't we ?
A box set would be great. There are lot of people around with taste and far more than the likes of Hollywood would have us believe. They stuff down your throat that the rubbish they churn out is the only type of film that people want. We are not all morons.
"Maytime" and all the others were made before I born. I am sure there are others far younger than me who would buy the DVDs.

I could only find it on 'Amazon', but I really dont think that I want to get it from there, I dont feel safe putting my Card Number on the internet. I love this movie, it's my favorite, all my friends think Im a loser because I am going crazy looking for it. I saw it on a classic movie channel a couple of times, I wonder if it is possible to contact them and see where the DVD could be purchased.

Amazon, and most other retailers, is a perfectly safe site. Credit card and other info is encrypted. Not one of their trillions of transactions has ever gone wrong. Please don't be afraid to join the 21st century. Most or many people do nearly all their shopping in the internet now. It's perfectly safe.

Ted Turner is no help. He doesn't like black-and-white films.

You can now find on Amazon.com a good Brazilian manufactured DVD of Juarez. It has the original English and removable subtitles.

I have successfully ordered a couple of their DVDs from a Brazilian vendor that you can find on the web. The DVDs are new and in English with optional Portuguese subtitles. The quality is just as good as any DVD you would buy in the US.

Shipment is pretty slow, however, since it is very expensive to ship by any means other than standard Brazilian Post.

They happen to have Maytime in stock right now.

Below is a link to an online petion to turner Movies. It is asking for the release of a nine DVD box set (including Mac & Eddy's eight films together and a bonus Biography disc). Please sign and tell Turner that it is time for these great films to be released on DVD!

Finally it's available on MOD-DVD through Warner Archive, and exclusively through Movies Unlimited: http://www.moviesunlimited.com/musite/product.asp?sku=D59816
