Is there anyway we can get a company to finally release this on DVD? I keep on hearing how great it is and how it's one of the greatest films ever. Is there a way I can sign a petition or something?

How does that bootleg look? It is a tradegy this is not on DVD. Count me in for an email to Criterion.

Well, there's always the "not-on-video" poll at TCM's site. I also urge you to send Criterion an e-mail. It would be a great project for them.

Since finding out this movie was an inspiration for Ozu's Tokyo Story, I would love to see this movie. I've heard nothing but good about it.

Are you going to pull those pistols or whistle "Dixie"?

This movie made me sob!!! I don't think I've ever seen a movie so sweet and sad. Maybe Lorenzo's Oil.

I hope they release it on DVD, but I'm not sure I could bear to watch it again.
