I read about this movie on my online TV guide back in the Fall and wanted to see it but couldn't... tonight, there it was again so here I am and I just can't stop crying... these poor old people... what heartless children... they are having their last date together and it's just terribly painful... :'(

How in the heck could Robert Osborne EVER think this was a "feel good movie"?! it was so incredibly depressing and sad. The only good thing other than the acting (superior) was that it made me glad we have pensions and social security. what wretched children this couple had! From the intro I was expecting a weeper with a happy ending. WRONG!

I just watched it on TCM and Osborne or the other guy made no comment about it - maybe somebody talked to him about his comment? I would have liked to hear it because I've never heard him say anything I didn't agree with.
