Need Help Identifying Characters in the Cast List

I just watched Make Way for Tomorrow. It's a very fine movie.

As I was going over the cast list, I was puzzled by an item on the main list. The last-named character is "Carlton Gorman" but I can't recall any scenes with a character of that name. He is played by Gene Morgan, who was a 44-year-old actor at the time, but no middle-aged man comes to mind. Carlton Gorman is not the hotel manager, and not the car salesman, and I can't think of anyone else with significant screen time.

Also, in the full cast list there are some characters I don't recognize, which makes me wonder if there are scenes cut from the current existing edition (92 minutes on the Criterion DVD). I don't recall any scene at an employment agency, so I don't know who the man at the employment agency is supposed to be; and two characters are described as bird imitators and animal imitators, but I have no idea what scene contains anyone imitating animal sounds. I'm also not sure who "Mr. Hunter" (played by Granville Bates) is supposed to be.

If anyone out there knows this film well and can find these minor characters in the film, I'd be grateful.

According to wikipedia Gene Morgan playing Carlton Gorman is the bandleader at the hotel.

The employment agency I think would be when Victor Moore (the grandfather) is walking alone down a street and says to a man that he broke his glasses that morning and asks whether on the sign outside there's a job posting for a bookkeeper.

Not sure who "Mr. Hunter" is, but he may be the car salesman's associate who had a line similar to "If those two have a million dollars they must have forgotten where they put it". Only a guess.

The bird and animal imitators may have been for the scene where Victor Moore and Beulah Bondi were sitting on a bench in the park.
