Absolutely incredible movie

Timeless theme and treatment. Incredible acting. It's hard to take your eyes off Beulah Bondi--what a talent. The setting is 1937, but there is nothing dated or clunky about this movie. I have a special love of movies that include poetry in them, and when Beulah recites that poem in one of the last scenes, it's priceless.

I agree that the theme is timeless. So many people are affected by this kind of thing and it will remain timeless for years to come.

This movie was so ahead of it's time. It's not dated at all.

Dealing with elderly parents is so prevalent right now.

That poem started my tears and they didn't stop till the end of the film. Bondi's expression after the train leaves is heartbreaking.
