I enjoyed this film. Love the locations and the pairing of Paul Robeson and his wonderful commanding presence and barotone voice, with this kind of film. He is a perfect fit with this old action adventure, with Musical elements. I'd really believe he'd be a king over all those people, in this epic tale. He's like a lion who the people draw to, like a magnet, when he roars into song.

The rest of the casting is pretty decent aswell and it's an enjoyable classic adventure tale.

I agree completely.

But Paul Robeson was a BASS, the lowest, deepest male voice.

I never knew this movie existed until I came across it at a video sale.

What an unexpected treat.

Anna Lee always has my number.

I enjoyed the movie too. I have not read the book yet, will soon. But I'm sure it's not a adequate adaptation, but it was still a good movie. I enjoyed it a bunch.
