Shame there isn't more threads about this film

I saw the film this afternoon and it made for enjoyable viewing. Strong performances from all the major characters along with portraying the dark side of the boxing business, which served as a good morality tale. I'm suprised the message board for Kid Galahad has seen such little actively considering the quality of the film.

"I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not".

There's the Elvis remake, I bet its board is more lively. This is the first movie I saw Bette Davis in. Enjoyed it a lot. Very solid movie. The boxing scenes looked comparatively better than in Rocky )

The boxing scenes definitely blew me away. VERY realistic for the time. The film is fast, with lotsa crackling hard-boiled dialogue.

May I bone your kipper, Mademoiselle?

I agree with all the posters on this thread. There's not much to not like about this movie. Bogart, Davis, and Robinson all before their time. A great treat. And the plot is not bad either.
