The well known MGM glossy look has never been better. The black and white is great too. Whatever happened to Jon Hall?
I must admit my earliest recollections of Jon Hall was his TV role as Ramar of the Jungle, until I got older and saw him in his earlier film roles like The Hurricane. But checking his bio here revealed some really interesting facts. He is the nephew of James Norman Hall, who wrote the book The Hurricane is based on and co-authored the book Mutiny On The Bounty. He is also the father of Conrad L. Hall, famed cinematographer. Impressive lineage.
Jon Hall shot himself in the head in 1979. He was suffering from cancer of the bladder.
