Shark scene

I've seen some people comment that the effects are dated...well what about castaway shark sequence? Actor Jon Hall was really in the water with those very large sharks!, albeit they look like somewhat harmless nurse sharks, still I dont think you'd find an actor that would risk that today, and obviously the gutting scene is too hardcore for todays pc audiences. And in the hurrican scenes, those were some pretty powerful wind machines whipping up alot of stinging, lacerating sand crystals that the actors had to endure because they didnt have the luxury of todays digital dust. And the water and waves and the people and the debris were very real in the church scenes where the little island is lashed and crushed by tidal waves and finally swept out to sea.

can't believe anyone would complain about this great film, even about the effects! It's such a wonderful movie, especially considering it was released in 1937! I love The Hurricane
