Milking scene trivia - Nixon removed it from the film Myra Breckinridge

There is an interesting trivia regarding the scene of milk squirting.
From the book "Mae West - she always knew how" by Charlotte Chandler:

Clips from old Hollywood films figure prominently in Myra Breckinridge.
In San Francisco, the biggest laugh was during the dildo-rape when there is a Shirley Temple clip.
I didn't expect how big the reaction would be to the milking of the goat,when the milk squirts out in Shirley Temple's face. We were impressed with that big laugh and the reaction.
Zanuck said, "Yes, but I got a call from my father [Darryl F. Zanuck].
He got a call from President Nixon, who feels Shirley Temple, who is a dedicated Republican and has worked hard for the Republican party, would be embarrassed by the scene."
So the scene went. I replaced it with a Laurel and Hardy clip that wasn't nearly so funny.
