What a lovely film!
I have always been a fan of the great Shirley Temple, but hadn't seen "Heidi" until today. It's quite rare to see a truly beautiful film like this one. In fact, I've enjoyed most of Shirley's films! ?
shareI'm an older man now, but when I was in 3rd grade we watched Heidi in class, and I just found it was watching a little bit of it today on YouTube ... it's in HD ... and I got hooked to watching the whole movie ... and I did not realize how much I remembered and got from that movie. Shirley Temple was amazing, and I still remembered the moment when old Adolph, breaks into humming the little song Heidi was always humming. That always makes me smile, as does when they go to church for the first time. It was nice to see movies with some morals and positivity instead of constant violence, crimes, and all around BS.
A truly great movie. The classics from these old film eras are so great. I tried watching a later version of the movie, but it really was not as well put together. They really knew how to make movies in those days.
