good film

I love discovering good old films like this one that I'd never heard of. Just looked up on Wikipedia (under Spanish Armada) the sea battle that saved England. It's a far cry from what happens in the movie, which had me believe that 7 small ships set the whole armada on fire. All in all, God save the Queen!

The movie didn't claim to be a true story or even based on a true story. Lots of movies are made in which the plot borrows heavily from actual events but deviates into something fictional. I enjoyed the movie either way. It may not have been an accurate portrayal of facts and some characters may never have existed but it got me thinking about that time in history and wanting to know more about what really did happen.

If a movie can inspire us to expand our horizons, in my opinion, that's a good thing. I think that's how people learn, by building on what we know and/or hear about from a variety of sources. Opportunities come in all forms and all sources.

Woman, man! That's the way it should be Tarzan. [Tarzan and his mate]

I feel it's a decent movie, but nothing special.
