Here's your Florida call, Mr. Whitmore.

Doesn't anyone else love that scene? I crack up every time. In fact, it's my favorite part in the movie - pure genius.

i have to agree.
That call scene is so funny.
i crack up each time i watch it.

The toostie frootsi ice cream scene is also funny.
I guess its a matter of ones personal taste.

Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read. Groucho Marx

There are so many terrific scenes in this movie! The Florida call, the race-track tootsie-frootsying... I love the scene when Groucho is being set up to be caught with another woman and discredited - "Thenk yoh!" "Thenk YOH!" - and Margaret Dumont's reaction when Groucho tells her they're about to take up the floor absolutely kills me! Anyone else would give confusion, puzzlement and disbelief, but Dumont reads as "Oh, my - I'd better go then!"

Well, you have to see it. It makes me roar...

Take that one step further, Chico screaming, "I'M TELLING YOU IN SECRET SHE'S OUT TO GET YOU!!!"

It's especially funny that Dr. Hackenbush works the intercom toggle with his foot, instead of by hand, so he can stay close to his desk. Whitmore gets up from HIS desk to answer each intercom message.

And Dr. H's Southern Gentleman drawl is perfect!
