Funhouse location - Hollywood?

Director George Stevens was a talented cinematographer before becoming director. So, it's not unusual to expect beautiful photography on this film.

The story is less than ho-hum, but the funhouse dance and action images are startling for 1937. No-where on IMDb can I find filming locations for this movie. Some outdoor scenes may have been in England, but I suspect the indoors were at RKO at Melrose and Gower.

With famed RKO art director Van Nest Polglase and producer Pandro Berman, you'd expect a beautiful and functional set. But the funhouse dance/action scenes I saw on DVD blew my mind and had to be viewed again.

Anyone know if those funhouse scenes were done in Hollywood?
